Omotoso found not guilty of rape and other charges

Nigerian televangelist Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused, Zukiswa Sitho and Lusanda Sulani, have been acquitted of all charges in a high-profile trial that spanned several years.

The Gqeberha High Court delivered the ruling, clearing them of more than 30 charges, including rape, human trafficking, and racketeering.

The Polokwane Municipality has begun with the process of demolishing illegal structures along Matlala Road on the farms between Extension 76 and Bloedrivier Bridge [Juju Valley Estate].

The Municipality had previously warned against illegal occupation at the privately owned land.

Meanwhile, one resident was reportedly shot and killed during the eviction this morning. However, the details regarding the shooting are still unknown.
